Teach them how to put on their own harness and tie a figure 8 knot, and lots and lots of climbing, of course! Many kids leave this program with a sense of self-confidence. Who is this designed for? This program is great for kids who seem inclined to climbing things. Graduates will be invited to continue their skill development through the Bears program. Level 2 - Bears Curriculum: The instructor will focus on specific climbing movement and flexibility, while introducing climbing terminology. In this program kids will learn how to boulder (climb without a rope) in our caves, bulges, and the rest of our traversing walls. The instructor will introduce safe falling practices (with the use of big mats) while bouldering, and even more climbing. Your kids will leave this program with the satisfaction of having accomplished a personal goal. Who is this program designed for? This program is for children who not only climb the furniture at home but the trees in the backyard. Kids should have some inherent climbing talent and experience climbing on a variety of terrain. Upon successful completion of the Bear-Test, the youth can proceed to the Rock Safety Programs (Level 3 to Level 10). Extras:  If these times are not suitable, we will be able to schedule your group with 3 or more climbers at the time of your choosing µ Private and Semi-private Instruction is also available with a ratio of 3:1 Cost: Private - $60 for members per hour, or $68 for non-members Semi-private - $45 per member and $50 for non-members @ Please keep in mind that the design of these programs is based on age, climbing ability, enthusiasm, will power, and the desire to climb. ₤ Some combinations and restrictions may apply please contact Chris Mack for more info. € Every participant must sign the TCA standard waiver form (available online).
